Six boats are now confirmed for the Round the Island Rally on Sat 3rd June, with a further two “possibles”. It would be great to have more entries, and there is still room at Calshot to accommodate extras!
Helm Available
Eric Armstrong (eric@circlecircle.co.uk), an experienced helm offering to join an existing helm and boat. Please contact Eric if you know of anybody wanting a sailing partner.

Chris Tyler, the new organiser of this challenging and exciting event says:
Hello Fellow Wayfarer Sailors
It is that time of year – almost time for the smell of varnish and not too much Epoxy (we hope), to get ready for the new season. This year I am taking over the main role from John and Jenny in being the main organiser for this event. John and Jenny are kindly helping as the Island safety cover, so will be seeing the event from a different angle.
Please can you come – it’s a great day’s sail. It would be great to have at least 10 boats. We have at least one experienced helm who hasn’t got a boat, so let me know if you are short-handed.
Please have a look at the 2017 information leaflet – the format should be exactly the same as previous years. If you are keen to come, please can you return the form to me. I have set up a page on my website http://www.chreselen.co.uk/wayfarer_class.htm which I can put any last minute details up. The information leaflet is the definitive guide. Any questions – please ask.
Please pass this on to anyone you think I have missed.
I have certainly enjoyed the event for the last few years taking part. I’m sure that you would like to know that John and Jenny were presented the Ian Proctor Trophy at the boat show by the Wayfarer Association for 11 years organising the IOW rally and services to UKWA – well deserved.
Hope to see you soon,
Chris Tyler W28 ‘Chreselen’ [chris@chreselen.co.uk]
Chris would clearly love the cruise to be well-supported, so please do take a good look at the comprehensive information provided.
