  • Sailing in/around remains of artificial Port Winston Harbour
  • Picnic on Gold Beach, Arromanches
  • Visit Arromanches Museum & see film on crossing Channel and building harbour in June 1944 by British Army
  • Sailing back to Ver-sur-Mer and evening in CNV cost shared…

  • Raid: Ver-Pointe du Hoc-Omaha Beach (Colleville/Mer) – starting at 9 am
  • Picnic on Omaha Beach at Eolia Sailing Centre of Colleville-sur-Mer
  • Quick walk along the beach & visit American Cemetery of Colleville
  • Sailing back to Ver-sur-Mer and free evening

  • Free morning or visiting Queen Mathilda Tapestry in Bayeux with special comments by senior conservator Antoine Verney about the Channel crossing by William the Conqueror’s armada (of more than 700 boats) in October 1066

  • Quick visit to Pegasus Memorial at Ranville if possible (Sword Beach)
  • Picnic at Ranville (Pegasus) or at Ouistreham Sailing School and Club
  • Sailing back to Ver-sur-Mer (3 to 4 hours) at about 19:00/20:00, then free evening…

End of Wayfarer Normandy Rally – Crews leave Ver and hoping everybody spent a very good week mixing sailing and history along the landing beaches of Normandy’s “Côte de Nacre” …
