I wonder if any of the historians amongst you have a copy of the results of the 1987 Wayfarer National Championships held at Southwold? It was a very well attended event and remembered for many years as the “Boggis Boom” recalling the efforts of the local area organiser. Thanks, Peter Dearnley (W10799, formerly W8668 & W1012).
Just looked in the archived magazine for 1987 and their is a report for the nationals on page twenty of the Autumn edition

It doesn’t give the full result bit does mention down to 5 or 6 with the full result in the year book.
What a fantastic back issue and insight into the class history that is! Having a Porter built boat with MacNamara sails makes it really come to life. Wonderful stuff.
