… okay, I cant just leave it at that so:
We’ve owned No 1820 ‘Celia Louise’ a mk 1 GRP for about 18 months and have completely refitted her to center main, inboard outhaul & reefing and jib/genny furling. Shes in great shape for her age so I’ve just splashed out on a new set of sails from our local Coventry based maker Jon Clarke at Edge sails and am quite excited to see how well she goes on fresh linen when he delivers them in about a fortnight.
Also I’m trying to find other land locked Midlands based Wayfarer owners to hopefully try and get a meeting organised at Draycote water, 600 acres should be big enough for us to get quite a few boats afloat ! If you fancy that please drop me a line.
Just joined the UKWA, better late than never, so will hopefully see some of you around at other venues too.
All the best
