Bramble is ready and crew arranged, anyone else on here attending?

    Hi,
We might well be interested, just hadn’t seen any recent publicity about the trip. We need to get our old World LizzieB out and check that everything is working OK(including us!) but have been waiting for warmer weather. Perhaps the weather is about to improve, let’s hope so. I will be approaching John Norman/Jenny Jeffs for details but imagine at the moment they are fully occupied with their impending invasion of France.

I’m sure the weather will be fine 😆 , I sailed with John & Jenny a few years ago when the rally went from Calshot down into Portsmouth harbour. It was a great day and can be thoroughly recommended.

The package of info is very well put together as you might expect so looks to be an excellent day out, after their invasion of France why not invade the Isle of Widget as well.

Maybe see you on the water

Forecast Force 6 to 7 in the western Solent put pay to any invasion of the Island 😥 , but undeterred 9 Wayfarers had a lively sail up Southampton Water to Hythe & returned before the weather & high winds really set in.

Good to meet up with you Nick, maybe try to get to Yarmouth on another occasion.

    Launching at Calshot

Heading up Southampton Water for Hythe

Well reefed but all enjoying a blustery sail

Thanks Nick for the photos, they all seem very atmospheric and reflect the challenging conditions.
