My Wafarer Mark II GRP has hinged legs supporting the thwarts. One of the brass hinges is broken and I can’t find a replacement anywhere. The hinge measures 60 mm x 38 mm open – the 60 is measured across the 2 sides of the open hinge, each side being about 27 mm either side of the barrel. Anybody know where I can find a replacement?

There is nothing special about these hinges, you probably don’t want to use the old holes so an exact match is not important.

    Screwfix do brass hinges http://www.screwfix.com/c/ironmongery-security/butt-hinges/cat840980

But why use brass? Stainless steel is much better http://www.juststainless.co.uk/products/hinges.asp

Call me old fashioned, but I would have preferred an exact match (using the old holes) had it been available. Thanks anyway; I’ll go with the stainless steel. Thanks for your help.
