InactiveHi
I am a new Wayfarer owner and have a Mk II GRP. What do other people do with regard to storing their Spinnakers? As I don’t have a chute I have resorted to a Tesco bag which doesn’t work or look good! Any suggestions please?

MemberHi
welcome to the best class ever. we inherited some quite big bags which more or less sat on the floorboards, with our first Wayfarer but they were a bit of a nuisence, and took up a lot of room, and took a contortionist forever to re-fit each spring. We always were promising ourselves some that fix to the edge of the foredeck. We then bought a Woodie and bought some laundry baskets as a temporary spinny bag and they are fine we have one each side and a piece of elastic tied from one to the other behing the mast step, so 3 years later we are still using them

Now I am impatiently waiting for my new bags to arrive and get rid of those clumsy things. I am returning to the tried and tested square bags that hover over the floorboards UNDER the foredeck, where they are well out of the way. Keep your money in your pocket and stick to what you know to work well.
Plastic wash baskets seem to work fine too, especially the low square sort that fits under the benches. But don’t forget to add a piece bungee to limit their movement and to prevent them from going for a swim.
