    Hi Guys,

I’m thinking Saturday would make for a pleasant trip from Calshot. I see that from about 12:00 the tidal stream will be coming from the west so we will probably head west in order to have the tide with us on our return. My better half has not mastered the art of No 1s from the boat (ideas welcome!) so I was wondering about a possible toilet stop somewhere along the way. Could easily be a secluded beach or we could be tempted by a pub lunch!

    Suggestions welcome

    Tony

There’s the cafe on the beach at Lepe but that’s only just around the corner.

How about the Master Builders Arms at Bucklers Hard? it’s a lovely sail up the Beaulieu river but all private landings.

It would certainly be more up market for Nr 1’s than a secluded beach and I’m sure you would get warm hand towels

And we made it. Bit slow at times but great for our first sail to the IOW!

Next trip to the needles and back!
