    Dear All,

    I have a reasonable set of sails and I am considering adding reefing points. can anyone recommed a good sailmaker that will do the job correctly but not charge me a fortune (as I may as well by a new main sail!)? I’m located in Gloucestershire.

    After buying a Helyar reefing system, I needed a pocket sewn onto the luff of my genoa, and used the recommended Edgesails.com. Reasonable rates and excellent work that was returned to me within a week.

    Mike MacNamara put two rows of reef points into my main a couple of years ago, total cost inc postage was just shy of £100. He also did a couple of minor repairs that I hadn’t asked for but as he didn’t charge for that I was very pleased. He even put up with a length email discussion with me about how high to set each row of reefs.

    On the internet I found two sail makers or repairers in your area, ask them for some prices! CP
