When sailing in this cold weather and very light winds I have found that on one tack the sail takes a good shape but the tell tails stay very stiff in a downward direction.
When I tack, it takes alot of force to push the sail into a new shape for the other tack and the tell tails stay on the new, leaward side as if frozen to the sail !
Could it be the ice or am i missing something?
Also my feet are cold!!
CP 😉
May I suggest a little bonfire on the thwart? (Also good for those feet).
IMHO Woodies are best for bonfires.
But GRP burns with that nice black smoke !!
