MemberJust ordered a new genoa and the sail-maker tells me that they don’t have to be measured now , presumably something to do with the ISAF changes .I haven’t seen anything on our web-site to this effect – have I missed something ?

ParticipantThey Do !!!!!
But to the new ISAF rules which i think are on the web.
Could be your sailmaker is an ISAF measuring loft with an in house ISAF trained measurer, if not he is talking Bull!!! I Think!!
If your sail comes without a ISAF stamp on it or a class measurers stamp or signiture, tell them to come and get it and measurer it.

MemberThanks Colin . Thinking back I think i was told that I didn’t have to get it measured. Must be an ISAF approved loft then .

ParticipantDon’t ISAF measured sails have a enumerated plastic buttons instead of a stamp and a signature in the UK?

ParticipantThe sails i have seen have an ISAF stamp on them with a signature in the stamp.
As Class measurers are not yet ISAF trained but have not been sacked yet, we measure the sails to the ISAF/Class rules and put our stamp on them and sign and date them.
