    Hi,

    Another question…

Has anyone fitted a rubbing strake to their Wayfarer?  I’ve seen a few boats with wooden or rubber ones, my Mk2 doesn’t have one fitted and I thought it might be a good thing to fit.

Any thoughts or recommendations gratefully received.

    Cheers,

    Paul

Hi Paul, we had a D section rubber fendoff on our GRP wayfarer and it worked pretty well. Timber is a bit tricky – getting it to follow the curved hull shape without breaking.

    hope that helps

    Hi Paul,

Ralph and I have fitted hardwood rubbing strakes to GRP Wayfarers. It is a little difficult sourcing long enough timber, but can be scarfed together.
