    Hello Everyone.

I’ve just taken ownership of a Mk2 for Cruising/Coastal Hopping etc.

I want to ask what is the opinions on preferred trailer set up for cruising.  Is it a Combi arrangement or a Trailer that acts as a launch platform with winch etc>

    thanks in advance Craig

Most people use a combi trailer/trolley which means the boat can be left on the trolley at the sailing club dinghy park. Also the trailer wheels do not go anywhere near salt water. These are most readily available. A winch and docking arms – to locate the boat on the trolley – are quite useful if you are singlehanding.

In many ways just a trailer would be quicker if you are able to keep the boat on it at home and then trailing to launch site. But these are not often seen in Wayfarer circles.

    hope that helps
