At the Copenhagen International Wayfarer Open Championships (or something like that) our boat was weighted 🙄 and it came in over weight. We know 4 kg can come off the floor boards (some how).
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove a bit of hull weight? with out breaking any current class rules.

If your boat is wooden, then it will dry out gradually and hence loose weight if stored in dry conditions over the winter for instance. I know that my boat gains weight through the season and this winter I shall weigh it when I bring it home and again in the Spring to determine the actual difference. I’ll let you know the outcome.
The same goes for fibreglass, but I think that it is more difficult to dry out. I have heard of people putting faily low wattage light bulbs into the tanks to help speed-up the process.22/09/2007 at 9:48 am #5955AnonymousInactive
When the weather was hot and dry, mine was spot on at Parkstone nationals.
In Denmark,it was 6 over
Do’nt compare yours to others that are garaged between open meetings.
And is it as important as settimg it up correctly amd pointimg it in the right direction?
When I got it right in Denmark,I was top 10
When I got it wrong,I was bottom 2
