Welcome to the UKWA Home Page › Forums › Cruising › Outboard Stowed or Not?
Generally speaking, do you stow your outboard when cruising or leave it on the transom?
Thank you.

I prefer mine stowed but will admit that its often left on the transom (ready!) when I’m too idle to stow it. It is a bit vulnerable to knocks or being pulled off by the mainsheet. I actually motorsail quite a lot in light airs and then will often switch it on and off as the wind rises and dies. The boat looks a lot better with it packed away.
