Generally speaking, do you stow your outboard when cruising or leave it on the transom?

‘Ferret’ W10495I prefer mine stowed but will admit that its often left on the transom (ready!) when I’m too idle to stow it. It is a bit vulnerable to knocks or being pulled off by the mainsheet. I actually motorsail quite a lot in light airs and then will often switch it on and off as the wind rises and dies. The boat looks a lot better with it packed away.
