MemberThere should be no complaints from the Parkstone YC contingent about the price of fuel because the next open meeting is only 30 miles along the coast at Warsash SC in Southampton. And there is a posh place to park their shiny mobile homes nearby at Dibles Park. http://www.caravancampingsites.co.uk/hampshire/diblespark.htm
Can anyone recommend a campsite for travellers in tents?
Notice of race and entry form can be found at http://www.aqqs83.dsl.pipex.com/wayfin08.htm
See you there?

MemberPlease note that the National Circuit event at Warsash doubles up as the Southern Area Champs. It was orginally badged as the Western Area Champs as implied in Roger’s sign off, but, we can’t really claim that Southampton is in the West Country.
So we have no Western Area Champs this year, but hopefully we can go to a genuine West Country Club in 2009.

ParticipantI plan to go to this open and yes it is only 30mls for me so it is very handy for me at this open.
As for the nice shiny motor home it will be coming this time and staying
,I hope at Dibles which is a very nice site. Even i can walk to the club from this site.Camping was allowed at the club for small tents last time but if that BIG TOP at Blackwater was yours Steve, I am afraid your be on the local park with your circus friends !!
Hope to see you all soon,
CP 😆

Yes, it was my tent but it is modelled on a WWII Nissan Hut rather than a big top. It gave stirling service at Bourne End week in testing conditions.
Unforunately, there isn’t room in the dinghy park at Warsash for the tent, which is a shame because we could have held our ExComm meeting in it. We are holding an informal committee meeting on Saturday evening, so I am expecting a good turnout of committee members on the water!
Kathy and I are hoping to stay with our daughter who lives in Southampton, although we have confirmed this yet. We are a bit worried that she might think that we are treating her place like a hotel.
