Does anyone have any ideal dimensions for where to drill a hole in the new style 21mm wooden blade to fix it into the pivot bolt of the alloy seashore rudder stock?
I have drilled a wooden blade but for a wooden rudder stock – I guess the alloy stock has much greater tolerance on the position of the blade. The wooden blades usually have an epoxy centre for the bolt to pivot on, I would go for the middle of that – assuming the blade does not then foul on any part of the stock.
I used a drill press and had to order a bit as the size was a little unusual.
Hope that helps
Thank you. That’s very helpful advice.
I would make a cardboard template and double-check that the proposed hole position does in fact work as intended.
