If you haven’t already come across it I would highly recommend reading Roger Barne’s new book “The Dinghy Cruising Companion”.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Dinghy-Cruising-Companion-Sailing/dp/1408179164

It is part cruising manual, part stories of his extensive cruising.

Very informative and well written and there are already several modifications I am planning to my Wayfarer based on some of his ideas.

Roger is also President of the Dinghy Cruising Association http://www.dinghycruising.org.uk/

Will be doing some “serious” coasting/camping along the east Cornish/Devon coast this summer, so I might as well take this book along and maybe pick up a few ideas. Thanks for the tip Dave.

Splendid, including a picture of daughter Kate and I heading for Old Harry and Swanage. Poole rally following nationals, Parkstone 2008. (Sorry, indulging in rambling nostalgia).
