I have not yet sailed my Wayfarer since taking delivery from Ian Porter on January 1st because of the poor weather. I haven’t even had a chance to practice rigging her on the drive. Some three months later, I have forgotten most of what I was told during the excellent handover from Ian. I recall, however, that after the mast has been stepped, you then ‘snap’ it into place by pushing the mast forward so that the mast foot reaches the limit pin on the mast foot track.

    Is this correct?

    Kind regards

Absolutely correct – but what you really need is the Wayfarer book which tells you all you need to know about setting up .
