Hello.
I am about to buy a wayfarer world. The seller does not know if it is a world or world s version. It is built by porters and sailnumber is 10458.
Are there any optical differences to se wether it is a world or world s?
Is the dork (floorboard) the same hight/level as in mrk 2 and the plus S?
Hoperfully you can help me!
Kind regards from Denmark
U
Hi “U”,
You could try contacting Ian Porter ( info@porters.org.uk ) to see if he has any sales records. As far as I know the only difference between the World and the World S is the “lay-up”, with the World S using foam core construction for extra stiffness.
A Wayfarer class measurer may be able to answer your question about floorboard heights. Is there a particular reason for the question? (e.g. space under thwart).
