InactiveHello, having inherited a gaff rigged clinker built one off dinghy from my late father-in-law, i got hooked on sailing up at Windermere.
The boat is similiar in size to a wayfarer, but has a lot of sentimental value, is not too stable and currently has no flotation bags.
In short, i want something i can continue to learn on, take my wife and daughter out in, and not worry if it gets the odd bash.
My research to date leads me to the Wayfarer. Having sailed at Low Wood this weekend, my mind is made up. It was great.
Being a shade over 12st……, the cockpit was roomy yet comfortable
Sorry if that was long winded, but needed explaining.
I am now looking for a second hand Wayfarer, and would like some advise in terms of guide price and what to look for.
Thanks
Tim
