    Hey guys

So I had a good clean down today, before I take my mk1 fibreglass wayfarer back down to the dinghy park for the year, and I noticed that there are two cracks across the foredeck, about half way towards the bow from the washboards. The crack is mainly in the non slip finish the runs from the bow to the washboards, and I am loathed to repair it with fibreglass, as the surface is currently original. How can I repair this without it being seen? When I press my thumb hard down on one side of the crack it opens up, and I am sure its not just in the blue gelcoat.

Any help gratefully received…anyone else carried out this repair. I was considering putting a fibreglass patch underneath, inside the buoyancy tank, and then running some clear epoxy into the crack?

A couple of photos would really help illustrate this problem, Tim.

Has the problem developed recently, and if so, any idea as to what may have caused it?
