MemberI’m in the process of stripping these down – far too many slippery layers of old paint on them – but would value suggestions of what to recoat them with. Was amazed at how long the ply is taking to dry out – Deck paint? Non slip strips? All suggestions gratefully received!

If I were you, I’d use the old boards as templates and cut new ones from a single 8×4 sheet of 6 or 9mm WBP Board (Builders’ plywood). This will give you brand new dry floorboards which you can then epoxy and cover with non-slip coating (paint, International Non-slip granules, or the sugar method which I believe is documented somewhere in the forum) – try this thread:

InactiveHi,
I tried adding sand to ordinary paint and quickly went back to proper deck paint. - AUTHORPOSTS
