It is a good sail for crews as it is smaller and so easy to sheet and use. 😀
The balance is not so good when you have full main and this needs to be reduced a bit to bring back the balance in the form of a reef but that is likely as it is going to be used in windier weather anyway.
We have a very light crew at our club who have a Midi and cut down main, about 300mm from the foot and they do have some controllable races in big winds and find it gives them more of a chance against the big people.
