It wasnt intended to be a harsh remark. I am a Wayfarer lover as the rest of us. But I noticed the deck had been rather badly joined at the bow.
It was the flex in the hull that concerned me more than anything though. it had almost a centimetre of movement near to the thwart.
My own boat has no give at all.
I think you are right when you say that time was the factor here! I am sure that when the first boats begin to roll off the line, produced by accurate tooling and jigs, it will look far better.
More than many, I wish Hartleys success. I am after all, hoping to make my retirement present a Wayfarer!
