With considerable regret we have to report we cannot join you at Shoreham this weekend.
Ofsted have landed on us for one of their new ‘spot’ inspections on child safeguarding: post ‘Baby P’; which has caused complete panic in our Local Authority and as Sue and I work for Children’s Services we have been inundated with preparations for a two week inspection process starting tomorrow, continuing until 10 July and in terms of prep, continuing through this weekend.
We had no knowledge of this until last week and there has been much burning of midnight oil.
Had to make excuse to my parents too,,,they live near Shoreham.!
We hope the event goes well and my friend John Shelton(Race Officer) gives you some good racing….assuming the weather provides some wind.
I know where I would rather be!!!
