there seems a pretty obvious solution to all of this – call me biased if you want – that is transfer the Worlds to Waldringfield where the one thing you can guarantee is that conditions will mitigate against either triangles or sausages….
on a more serious note, surely the WIC should tell the organisers what the class wants and not be dictated to by current trends which as Toby says are all about assymetrics and machines with different characteristics than wayfarers
