I did have difficulty securing insurance but eventually found a company to provide cover, albeit they limited the period of cover to the end of August!
To minimise the hassle of removing the mainsail after each trip (while on a swing mooring) I thought the use of a boom cover might be helpful. After reading your comments about reducing windage, I’m now thinking perhaps that’s not such a good idea. Would you recommend I remove the mainsail after each trip and bring it ashore?
The fairleads at the bow are open. I’ll see how easy it is to replace with closed ones.
