This is a remarkable opportunity to hear Bill Brockbank give a talk about his trip with Frank Dye from Scotland to Norway. The talk is Friday 4th July starting at 7:30pm till approximately 9:00pm at Fishers Green Sailing Club. See the flyer above for further details.
Bill is still very active – winning many of this year’s races at the club by a mile. For those who’ve not met him, he’s a great personality and of course the story of the trip with Frank is unbelievable. Bill was hoping to give this talk at the 2013 cruising conference, but was unable to make it at the time.
As for getting to Fishers Green, it’s ten minutes drive north of Waltham Abbey, itself short train ride from Liverpool Street. For those that are a distance from London, I’m sure with prior arrangement the club would be very happy for visitors to camp and join in Saturday sailing.
